Answer: The process of hand currying is what make bridle leather unique. Hand currying involves impregnating the leather with specific fats, tallows & waxes. Over time, these waxes will emerge to the surface of the leather through the fibres exposing the waxes used during manufacturing, ready to be brushed back down into the leather giving it another high shine finish that lasts a lifetime.
Answer: Vegetable tanned is the process of tanning the leather using natural substances such as leaves & tree bark. However, this process is more time consuming & comes at a premium as opposed to chrome tanned leather. For these reasons, nearly all leather used globally is chrome tanned. Answer: Full grain leather is the most natural part of the hide. Furthermore, full grain leather is the strongest part of the hide. With these characteristics, full grain leather ages better with time whilst still maintaining its durability. No two hides are the same, so each hide has its own story. All carry, in some form, markings too some degree. This may include stretch markings, scars & other imperfections.

Answer: Past Vintage are currently based in Birmingham, England. Located in the heart of the United Kingdom and only a short distance from Walsall, which during the early 20th century was sort after for luxury providing the finest British leather products. Answer: No. We stock all our products which are ready for immediate dispatch from the Past Vintage warehouse. Currently, we do not take customised orders.
Answer: Yes. All orders from outside the United Kingdom are fulfilled by DHL express. For international customers, please use our shipping calculator on our Delivery & Returns page.
Answer: Yes. All orders (Domestic or international) are shipped via an express service.

Answer: Firstly, we apologise if you have a received a faulty item. For orders received which are deemed to be faulty, please visit our delivery & returns page or please contact us immediately at support@pastvintage.com
Answer: If you would like to return your order, please notify us within 30 days of receipt. You can do this by email support@pastvintage.com. Please note: Returns must be returned in their original condition & packaging. Any order which has been returned in a damaged state will not be eligible for a refund. Currently, we do not offer exchanges on any orders.
